29 and 30 Weeks - Only 10 weeks left

I have been a very, very bad blogger lately...I apologize. A lot has been going on so I'll just outline what is new:

-My stomach is growing more than I ever thought and sometimes at the end of the night it just feels like it is going to burst...everything is just so tight
-I have been sleeping like crap. I'm lucky if I get 5 hours of sleep a night....I'm dead tired but I have insomnia and will wake up multiple times with random things running through my head
-We started birth classes two weeks ago and Jay has been great coming with me
-We had a doctor's appointment yesterday and I'm measuring right on track, heart rate is in the 130's
-While at the doctor yesterday the nurse led us into the room and told me to remove my pants and cover with the sheet....I found this kind of odd because this exam I didn't think happened til 36 weeks...anyhoo I removed them and waited for the doctor. He came in and the first thing he says is 'why do you have your pants off?' I was like, you tell me. Anyways there was a mixup but regardless I had to sit the whole appointment with no pants feeling like a goon. Jay was loving every minute of it though
-My ribs are bruised from the baby kicking me and running out of room
-My back also hurts so I'm contemplating bringing a yoga ball to sit on at work
-The baby is approx. 3 pounds
-We are hoping the crib comes in soon so we can finish up the room

And now week 29 and week 30 pictures

28 Weeks

28 weeks and starting to grow some more. I think I learned today that bending over isn't as easy as I once thought.

The baby is now 2.5 pounds and the size of a head of chinese cauliflower! Exciting I know.

Monday we start birth/baby classes at the hospital.

Not much else to report, I just continue to grow. Have a great weekend!

Ultrasound....only not of the baby

For the past two weeks or so I've been experiencing some issues with my heart. Every once in awhile my heart would begin to beat incredibly fast (like extremely fast and felt like it was going to pop out of my chest) and then on a few occasions I felt like I was going to pass out from it. I figured it was just the baby causing my heart to work so but after it was happening every day and multiple times during the day I figured I better call my doctor.

They decided to send me to a cardiologist and also scheduled an EKG test. The first test didn't show anything, however when the cardiologist was listening to my heart I experienced one of my 'episodes' and he was able to hear it. He then scheduled another EKG and they luckily were able to catch another one while they were testing me.

After that, they scheduled an ultrasound on my heart....the whole time she was performing it, I wanted to ask her to go down lower so I could take a peek at the baby...no such luck though, darn:)

After reviewing all my tests they determined I have Atrial Tachycardia. In a nutshell, its when electrical impulses come from the atria instead of the sinal-atrial node (yeah probably doesn't make any sense). The alternate origin of the electrical impulse causes a fast heart rate. Also they said I have a heart murmur but apparently weren't too concerned with that.

The atrial tachycardia is most likely a result from the pregnancy but if it persists after birth they may look at going in and burning something in my heart to fix it...scary, but I'm just praying it is all due to the baby and they were pretty confident it would go away after the baby.

In the meantime, the doctor advised me to take it easy and they possibly may put me on some medication until the end of my pregnancy.

Good news is, the baby is just fine and that's all that matters:)

So that was my day yesterday in a nutshell....oh and on the way home from the doctor I was rear-ended! Ha, but thankfully neither I nor my car (at least from what I can tell) were hurt. Although the kid who hit me about crapped his pants when he saw I was pregnant:)

I'll have 28 week pictures soon....

27 Weeks - Start of the third trimester!

I'm in the home stretch....less than 3 months left before baby Nessler is here! So hard to believe. And with baseball and everything, this summer is going to fly by and this baby will be here before you know it:) Feeling good...just a little bit more tired than usual. Kicking like crazy and has recently started kicking me in my ribs which I absolutely hate. (I'm a freak about people touching my ribs, so yeah, needless to say it grosses me out)

Our crib and changing table/dresser are supposed to arrive this week and then we can finally get the baby room looking a little bit more complete.

Other than that, we are going to Red Wing this weekend for a baseball tournament...love Red Wing...so beautiful. Jay and the Mankato Twins are off to a good start....so far 2-0.

Also, congrats to Emily and her new teaching job!!! So proud of you:)

Have a great week....pictures below!
