on their way to Alexandria today they stopped in Paynesville to eat at the A&W, long story short, they were approached by a woman who recognized Kate from the blog. Turned out it was my friend Christy's aunt Rita and she has been following the blog. So shout out to Aunt Rita if you're reading:) Yet again, more motivation to continue blogging! I heard Kate may have been a little sassy towards you to begin with Rita....I apologize if that is the case!
So for our first night of alone time Jay and I had a date night at a local restaurant, bought a new mailbox at Tractor Supply and went to the grocery story. Fabulous/relaxing night if I do say so myself.
Tomorrow I plan on cleaning. Thursday I'm getting a massage. Kate will return later Thursday night.
Then on Friday I have the day off to celebrate Kate's birthday. Saturday we are going to the state fair, Sunday annual bocce tournament at the Magers and then Monday recover from it all!
Woofta....should be a great time with great friends. Hopefully pictures to come sometime soon.

Kate was not very good at sharing Coryn with me
and anxiously awaited her turn again
Perhaps she can follow in the footsteps of her mother
If nothing else, she can burn some energy during the winter months
Striking a pose in her new leotard
More state baseball this weekend with games both Saturday and Sunday nights. Other than that, just enjoying the lovely fall-like weather we've been having! Have a good weekend!

Then on Saturday, I slept in, didn't shower the ENTIRE day and just hung out with the fam.
Sunday, repeat of Saturday.
Now that playoffs for baseball are over and softball is over our schedules have really freed up which is awesome. I almost forgot what it was like to be home at night.
State starts Sunday in Bird Island, but other than that, not much going.
I signed Kate up for gymnastics so that starts after labor day. I'll have to blog pictures of her new leotards! I'll also have to blog pictures of our new living room furniture we got.
Anyhoo, off to bed I go. Excited to enjoy the GORGEOUS weather we're having this week!

Good grief its been a while since I’ve blogged! Its been a crazy couple of weeks so here’s a recap and my reasoning for not blogging.
I recently became a Mary Kay consultant and hosted my first party a couple Thursday’s ago. It was tons of fun but I spent many, MANY, nights cleaning and preparing for the party. And I would say the party was a great success. If you ever need anything, just give me a holler.
The following Saturday we headed to Marshall to watch Jay play baseball. I felt kind of funny the whole day but didn’t think anything of it because of the extreme heat. Kate was a little ‘off’ as well. I should have known something was up. I put Kate to bed when we got home and was awaken around 2 am to the sound of Kate crying. She tends to wake up in the middle of the night, will cry a little and will go back to sleep. For some reason, I decided to check on her and felt in her crib to feel for her. I did not feel Kate, instead, I felt a warm pile of goo. I threw on the light and found kate, covered in puke, and a huge pile sitting next to her. The poor thing looked so sad. So both Kate and I hopped into the tub at 2 am and bathed. Right after we got out, the next round started, and then the next. We finally stopped the puking after an hour or so. Kate and I then slept on the bedroom floor the rest of the night. It was awful.
So anyhoo, Kate recovered quite quickly for the most part and aside from a few diaper issues was fine the next day. I on the other hand was sick up until this past Sunday. Never really got sick, just a nagging feeling of awfulness. Knock on wood, its great to be feeling good again. I hate feeling like a slug.
Other than that, we’ve been busy with baseball and softball playoffs. The Mankato Twins made it to state by beating Hanska this past Friday in Hanska. State starts the weekend of August 21st in Bird Island and Willmar.
At Friday’s game in Hanska jay was cleated during the last play of the game and cut open his leg. So we spent the night in the ER getting 7 stitches and a tetnus shot.
On Sunday, we went to visit our good friends Adam and Amanda who just had a baby girl, Coryn. Such a cutie and we’re so happy for Adam and Amanda. Kate’s excited for her new friend Coryn and couldn’t get enough of her (pictures to come).
On the docket for this week, softball playoffs tonight, more baseball tomorrow and Friday (and potentially Saturday), movie night with some of my girlfriends Thursday and then who knows what else.
I promise to be better about blogging from now on. Sheesh!
Have a great week!
