Elton John Concert

You would think that a music legend coming to Mankato would be worthy of me blogging about it promptly.....not so. Sir Elton, I apologize.

Here we go.....In May, Elton John came to Mankato and of course we couldn't pass up the opportunity to go. I don't have much to say about the concert except for the fact that it was awesome, he sounded phenomenal and it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. To cap it off we had terrific seats only a few rows back. Jay even managed to go front row for part of the concert. Our friend scored some front row tickets last minute (Kevin, thanks for being so pretty)....side note, our friend was standing alone and Elton's flight attendant (man) came up to him and asked him if he wanted front row tickets. Score! Thanks for being so attractive Kevin!!!

Miles - 16 Months

Mr. Magoo is now 16 months old and a full fledged toddler! In fact,  today marked 2 weeks in the toddler room at daycare. I was so sad to see him leave the infant room and wonderful staff but knew it was time he moved on to bigger and better things. The transition is going well and it seems to be getting easier each day.

Here's what the big man on campus is up to these days:
-Running all over the place
-Climbing on whatever he can possibly find
-Sleeping great (finally). In fact he slept one night from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 am (after we woke him)
-Developing his dance moves. Has a sweet little tushy shake that he does
-Has a 'scary' face. See picture below
-Loves swimming, eating sand and going down water slides
-Obsessed with any sport that involves a ball
-Also obsessed with any sort of truck/construction equipment
-Loves to read
-Has a small problem with biting. My shoulders have permanent bite marks, while Kate sports a few bite marks on her back....the ol 'chase and attack from the back'. Luckily, it seems he only bites at home and isn't biting friends at daycare (yet).
-Loves giving kisses. The other night I was reading a book 'I love you sun, I love you Moon' and on every page it says 'I love you ____' and each time he would give me a soft little kiss. Melt my heart.
-So much fun and I'm proud to say he's a momma's boy (for now) :)

Here are the stats from his 15 month appointment:
Height: 30.5 inches (23rd percentile)
Weight: 23.5 lbs (57th percentile)
Head: 19 1/2 inches (98th percentile)
